Dantex Group previewed its new PAL – Pico Adaptive Logic – AI operator support system at LOUPE Americas 2026, giving attendees an advance look at technology scheduled for commercial launch in early 2027.

PAL is designed to place the capabilities of a virtual technical specialist directly at the press, providing operators with immediate assistance for production, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Integrated into Dantex’s PicoPilot and PicoCenta interfaces, PAL uses natural-language interaction, allowing operators to ask questions verbally without having to learn specific commands or search technical documentation. The system can explain press functions, provide guidance for achieving specific production results and assist with maintenance issues. PAL also monitors press information and can proactively provide assistance when it detects a fault or emerging production issue.

Dantex developed PAL in collaboration with 42 Technology (42T), a Cambridge, UK-based product design and innovation consultancy. The system draws on Dantex’s technical knowledge base, which will continue to expand as the technology is developed and deployed in the field.

“PAL marks an incredibly exciting new direction for Dantex and for operator support in the UV label press sector,” said Ben Danon, CEO of Dantex Group. “Our aim is to bring the knowledge and reassurance of a technical specialist directly to the press, making support faster, simpler and more accessible.”

According to Dantex, PAL is intended to shorten response times, simplify service and maintenance and help converters improve press uptime. The technology will become part of the company’s PicoCare service and support offering, with new Pico presses equipped with PAL beginning in 2027.

“LOUPE visitors were among the first to experience how naturally they can interact with PAL and to see its potential to support higher uptime, more confident operation and greater production efficiency,” Danon added.

In addition to the PAL preview, Dantex showcased its Pico digital inkjet portfolio at LOUPE, led by the PicoJet 1200 DRS and PicoColour 254. The company also highlighted the GM DC350 finishing system for the PicoColour 254, a bolt-on solution that can convert the press from roll-to-roll production to a roll-to-hybrid configuration with integrated inline finishing.
